CP-Unite Advisory Group

CP-Unite Advisory Group is a team of young adults with cerebral palsy aged 18-30 years who collaborate with CP-Achieve research teams.

CP-Unite is spread across Australia and our advisors connect through virtual Zoom meetings to share their lived experiences, insights, and contribute to research themes and projects.

Being involved in CP-Achieve has provided this advisory group the opportunity to work together with different research teams and make a meaningful contributions to research, therapies and services, and develop a sense of purpose and community within the advisory group.

CP-Unite has contributed significantly to CP-Achieve research by:

  • reviewing surveys across CP-Achieve’s themes of improving physical and mental health and building supportive environments
  • helping CP-Achieve researchers better understand the challenges faced by individuals with cerebral palsy and ways to address them.

CP-Unite's valuable insights have equipped CP-Achieve researchers with the tools necessary to create more effective interventions, therapies, and services that meet the needs of those living with cerebral palsy.
