Alana Jovanovski

I completed VCE in 2008.  I always had a passion for advocacy, but this became more apparent during my studies. It is important to follow legislation as required, but those sitting in parliament for example, are not always aware of the needs of those with a disability.

I am interested in advocacy for those with CP because I understand what the difficulties can be.  I also understand how CP and blindness can be challenging together. For example, I understand the need to make documents accessible for a wide variety of public.

Through my personal experience, I can provide a level of communication that I hope everybody will be comfortable with. I have gained skills in the area of assistive technology. I believe I will provide valuable input to CP achieve.
