Professor Susan Sawyer

Professor Susan Sawyer is the Geoff and Helen Handbury chair of adolescent health at The University of Melbourne and is director of the RCH Centre for Adolescent Health. Professor Sawyer initially trained as a respiratory paediatrician where she developed a major interest in models of care for adolescents with complex conditions such as cystic fibrosis, and around neglected comorbidities such as sexual and reproductive health and mental health. A practicing adolescent physician, her research interests now span primary care and specialist settings, physical and mental health, and transition to adult healthcare.
